Napa Valley is counting its lucky Michelin stars that a new event in November will draw in food and wine lovers after the last of the grapes have been pressed.

Organizers this month unveiled plans for the four-day “Flavor! Napa Valley Celebration of Wine, Food & Fun,” a lure for  epicurians and oenophiles during the doldrums between harvest and Christmas. And stars from the valley’s culinary galaxy — Michael Chiarello, Thomas Keller, Cindy Pawlcyn, Christopher Kostow, Ken Frank, Jeffrey Jake and Tyler Florence — are on board to host a variety of events spread out between Nov. 17 and 20.

From the viticultural world, Karen McNeil, who literally wrote the bible on wine, and Master Sommelier Andrea Immer Robinson, will lead  an array of educational seminars at the CIA, which is partnering with The Silverado Resort to host the event.

Chiarello, the chef-owner of Bottega and a CIA alumnus, said he’s long been pushing for a glittering autumn food and wine celebration like this to harness Napa’s talent. The showcase will raise money for CIA student scholarships.

Details about the event have not yet been disclosed. But Flavor has its own website — flavornapavalley.com — and tickets will go on sale on May 16.
